The launch
will start with a contributors only ‘open mic’. This will be followed with a featured reading
by Billy Lombardo, author of the novels How
to Hold a Woman and The Man With Two
Arms and the short story collection The
Logic of a Rose.
After Hours,
a journal of Chicago writing and art, has published two issues every year since
June of 2000. The mission of the magazine from its inception has been to
create a showcase and archive of the vibrant Chicago literary world at the
beginning of the 21st century.
After Hours
recently announced that the Newberry Library will house a complete collection
of the magazine in their
Chicago Studies department. The University of Chicago Library and the
University of Wisconsin/Madison library special collections sections also
include After Hours.
